FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What age group are the workshops for?
  • We run workshops for KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Years 3-13.)
How do I book a workshop?
  • Go to the online booking form, give us a call or contact us on the enquiry form and we will call you back to discuss your needs.
How much will a workshop cost?
  • A one day workshop costs £275.00 for up to 50 students at KS3, 40 at KS4, 25 at KS5 with 1 x workshop leader. Please discuss with us directly for any other combinations of numbers or the prices for having more than 1 x workshop leader. Travel and expenses are charged separately where appropriate.
How long does a workshop last for?
  • A one day workshop is designed to fit into a normal school day (approximately 5-6 hours) although other timescales can be agreed. For example,  if a 2 or 3 day workshop is required to help with an Arts themed week or to help with a school production this could be accommodated. Please call to discuss requirements and discuss discounts for multiple days.
How many students can take part in the workshop?
  • At KS2 and KS3- up to 30 students, but if there is a large space available and additional support in the room from at least 2/3 staff, we can accommodate up to 50 students.
  • At KS4 - up to 40 students. A one day workshop could be split across two classes into 2 half days if more students involved at this level.
  • At KS5- up to 25 students. A one day workshop could be split across two classes into 2 half days if more students involved at this level.
What space do you need to run the workshop in?
  • Depending on the size of the group an empty classroom, school hall, drama studio or theatre space will all be sufficient.
Which areas of the country do you travel to in order to run the workshop?
  • We can cover most areas of the UK. We aim to send the nearest workshop leader to run your day, however sometimes it is whoever is available on your preferred dates. Travel is charged at 45p per mile for a car or the journey can be done by train/ aeroplane depending on props needed for your workshop. The earlier we have a confirmed date or more advance notice of this, we book the cheapest fare available at that time.
  • We can deliver workshops internationally, though travel and accommodation is charged in addition to the workshop fee. Please contact us for a quote.
Can you send an invoice to my school?
  • Yes we can. Just complete the quick online School Booking Form and we'll send an invoice to your school.
Do you accept payments by cheque or BACS?
  • Yes we do. If this is your preferred method then please complete the online School Booking Form stating which age group, pupil numbers and topic for the workshop you would like, along with a contact name, email, telephone number and postal address. We'll then send you a pro-forma invoice so you can complete the transaction. If paying by this method, we ask for a 50% deposit to be paid at time of booking and the remainder to be paid 2 weeks prior to the workshop taking place.
  • While we make every effort to process these payments as quickly as possible, you should note that we're unable confirm your preferred date for your school workshop until payment has been cleared. In practice this means that it may take a few days for your request to be confirmed if you choose this payment option.
  • Once payment has been completed we'll send confirmation by email.
What happens if we need to postpone or cancel the workshop?
  • If you need to postpone the date of your workshop or rearrange the date e.g Ofsted have called, then we are more than happy to rearrange the date with you so that it is mutually convenient for all parties, providing your £50.00 deposit has been paid. If the deposit hasn't been paid, we will try to accommodate your new dates where possible.
  • If you need to cancel your booking after it has been confirmed by email but before an invoice has been issued for either the deposit or the full amount as requested, then you will still be liable for the £50.00 deposit charge. This is because we may have had to turn down other bookings in this time to hold your date for you.
  • If you need to cancel your booking which has already been confirmed by email and an invoice issued and if work has already been undertaken in the planning of your bespoke workshop including the making of resources and materials, you will be liable to a charge of 50% of the cost of the workshop.
