About Us

Examples of recent workshops:-

  • Literacy and Numeracy through Drama at KS2 for Gifted and Talented Year 6 students.
  • Year 7 History through storytelling and teacher-in-role, in Worcester based on Oliver Cromwell.
  • Yr 12/ 13 skills workshops to develop team-building and leadership skills.
  • Yr 12/ 13 Laban workshops to develop characters in scripted exam performances.
  • Story telling through Theatre In Education in primary schools and at KS3.
  • 'Moving to Big School' for Year 6 about to make the transition from KS2 to KS3.
  • Residential weekends on various themes e.g 'Healthy Lifestyles', 'Being a Good Citizen' and 'Storytelling through Devised Work'.
  • Yr 10/11 Boal, Brecht and Stanislavski sessions to give skills for devised exam performances.

Clare Buchanan - Creative Director and Workshop Leader

Clare trained professionally in London, followed by 3 years working as a jobbing actor in theatre, radio and television adverts. She has since worked for 13 years as a drama teacher, and knows what does and doesn’t work in the classroom!

Qualifications

  • 3 Year Acting Diploma (East 15 Acting School)
  • PGCE Drama (ages 11-18, Middlesex University)
  • Master in Education (Greenwich University)

  • 13 years drama teaching
  • Rated as an 'Outstanding' teacher 5 times by Ofsted
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Differentiated materials & approach to teaching and learning

Debbie Greenwood - Workshop Leader

Debbie has been involved in performing arts since a very young age and loves the opportunity to be involved in them. She has worked within primary, secondary and FE sectors using her skills and experience to influence and inspire her students.

Qualifications

  • BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts
  • PGCE in Lifelong Learning (14+)
  • BA(Hons) in History & American Studies

Experience

  • Over 10 years based in educational settings
  • Over 15 years stage production experience including drama, dance and musical theatre
  • Director for educational trust specialising in residential holidays for children
